The American Art Collector, June Edition
The June issue of the American Art Collector has two articles mentioning my work that focuses on Marine Art in the J. Petter Galleries located in Saugatuck Michigan. On July 8th my work will be featured during Second Saturday event that has visits from artists and wine tasting.
This is a quote from the article about my work.
Whether on the shores of Maine or in Florida, James Griffin’s artwork retains the spirit of being there, with the emotional connection to the place coming through. “The rocky coast and lobster boats of Maine strike me in a very different way than the flat shorelines and shrimp boats of Florida,” he says. “Deep blue water with wooden sailboats have such a different feeling from the white sands, huge whipped-cream clouds and fiberglass powerboats. I love painting them both.”
