DEFIANT MISTRESS

THis is the inside cover illustration for a book titled DEFIANT MISTRESS. I enjoyed doing this piece because I was allowed to go all the way with the man's costume, putting him in accurate period garb, as opposed to the white shirt, black pants and boots that seem to be standard. How much more interesting the image is because he's in this costume! The "falling off shirt " look is geared more toward making the man a sex object. I question whether it works better or worse than having him look correct for the period and still look passionate.
