PASSION'S TREASURE

This is one of the first covers I did where the lone woman is walking toward the house. I a previous era, gothic novels usually had the woman running away from the house, which a a scary feel to it. Obviously this is a different king of book. I wanted to give it a believably romantic look, so I kept the colors muted, getting bolder only with the upper part of the figure. I was imagining the scene was musty m but the sun was just beginning to burn off the haze. There's an inquisitiveness in her pose as she walks down the cart path, flowers to the right and left of her. Did sh just discober this place while on a morning walk? Or is she here for some other reason?
