RUNAWAY MCBRIDE

This piece was done for a book of that title, published by Avon Books. I always try to give my figures something that hints at a drama beneith the surface. In this case, the young lady dressed in her bustle evening gown, appears to look both bored with the place she is and also looking longingly at someone off stage. The opulence she is surrounded by is only hinted at by the pattern subtly filling the space behind her.
