BACH SONATA WITH PALMS

Bach is probably my favorite composer. It doesn't matter how often I hear a piece, I am always taken under its spell. There's an elegantly mathematical quality to the music, but it is never rigid. Somehow it always packs emotion within it patterns. In this painting, I intertwined "music" through the palms. There is order and variation there. Some areas appear to be transparent, other areas do not.

At the time I was painting this, I was listening over and over, to a group of flute and harpsichord sonatas. The mosre i listened, the more I heard and I hope that the more people looks at this painting, the more they see.
