DRAWING FOR BEGINNERS

Drawing For Beginners is the title for this contemporary novel. I believe the image tells the story pretty well, about the young woman who is intrigued by getting involved in drawing. The pose shows intense interest, but because she's peering through the closed door, it also suggests some fear or trepidation. I enjoy telling a story through an image.

In this design, I intended the title to go int he white rectangle, like it was a poster. I mocked it up with type in perspective, but the the art director may have done something different. I haven't seen the printed book.
